Northfield, OH — MGM Northfield Park announced the addition of a $20,000 Pick-5 total pool guarantee on Monday (June 1).

Beginning in race two, the $20,000 Pick-5 guaranteed total pool includes a carryover of $4,598.

This wager is being offered as part of the Strategic Wagering Program through the United States Trotting Association.

Northfield’s Pick-5, Pick-4s, Pick-3s, 20¢ Super High Five and 20-cent Northfield Single Six offer a reduced takeout rate of just 14%.

Northfield has also announced the scheduling of a mandatory payout of the 20-cent Northfield Single 6 on Wednesday (June 3).  The wager was paid a lone ticket on Saturday (May 30) with a healthy $31,719.22 payoff.   

Normally the Single 6 Jackpot can be won only by the holder of a unique winning combination that selects the winners of races 9 through 14, but the mandatory payout provision on June 3 will award all winning tickets with an equal share of the Single 6 pool, including all money in the carryover. 

The 20¢ Northfield Single 6 will continue to be offered every racing night through the mandatory payout on June 3.  The wager will be discontinued after the June 3 card.  A conventional (non-Jackpot) Pick-6 wager will take its place on Northfield’s wagering menu in the coming weeks.
