Big Band Jane repeats in Miami Valley’s Friday feature

Lebanon, OH – Big Bad Jane (Dan Noble) won her second straight Mares Open Pace and third race in a row in O-hi-o on Friday night (March 29) at Miami Valley Raceway.  The 5-year-old daughter of Big Bad John went gate to wire in the night’s feature race, narrowly holding off Rosemary Rose (Chris Page) and fast-closing JD’s Chancey Gal (Tyler Smith) in 1:53.  Noble also trains the 18-time winner for owner Sandra Burnett, who bred Big Bad Jane in partnership with Noble’s father Sam “Chip” Noble III.  Her bankroll has now grown to $231,694.

A pair of final preliminary legs of the Dr. Don Mossbarger Memorial series were also contested on the program.  Bad Girls Rule (Brett Miller) cruised to a front-stepping triumph in 1:52.2 over Heart Of The Ocean (Chris Page) and Star Of Our Show (Dan Noble).  All three advanced to the $27,500 championship of the series next Friday (April 5).  Virgil Morgan Jr. trains the winner for the 3rd Floor Stable.  It was the 4-year-old daughter of World Of Rocknroll’s seventh career win, second straight in this series, and pushed her lifetime earnings over $300,000.

Someangelsomewhere (Tyler Smith) copped the other division beating McPansy (Chris Page) and Badlilvelocity (Dan Noble) in 1:54.  That trio also advanced to next week’s final, in addition to first leg winner Tara Lura Lural, Sumthenforthegirlz and Scwartz Bros Beaty.  Douglas Millard and Spring Haven Farm own the winning 4-year-old daughter of Somebeachsomewhere, who is trained by Tim Lane. She also currently sports seven lifetime victories.
