Despite being forced three wide on the final turn, it looked as Bold Eagle was in position to win as he took the lead at the top of the stretch.

But then he began to tire, and faded down the stretch where he was passed by five rivals.

On the outside, the two mares, Delia du Pommereux with Damien Bonné and Belina Josselyn with Jean Michel Bazire, finished fast with Delia du Pommereux rallying to win.  Bird Parker driven by Jean Philippe Monclin got up for third.

Since both Delia du Pommereux and Bird Parker qualified in the first qualification race, Prix de Bretagne, runner-up Belina Josselyn also is qualified for the Prix d’Amerique.
