Bold Eagle to race final time Sunday

A fantastic career at the racetrack comes to an end Sunday afternoon (Aug. 2) in Belgium, where top French trotter Bold Eagle will race for the last time.

The 9-year-old Bold Eagle is the second richest French trotter ever with 4,990,967 Euros; only Timoko has earned more with 5,006,731 Euro.

Bold Eagle has a chance to go by Timoko, but he must finish one or two in Sunday’s Grand Prix de Wallonie at the Mons track. However, that seems to be a difficult task as Bold Eagle has been far from his best this year. From six races he has two third places in 2020.

As a tribute to the fine work his lad Hugues Monthule has done with Bold Eagle over the years, Monthule has been listed to drive Bold Eagle in his farewell race.

On Sunday Bold Eagle and Monthule will face the new star of French trotting, Face Time Bourbon, with Björn Goop in the bike.
