Salem, NH — The local boy made good at Rockingham Park on Saturday (June 21) when Brewer Adams drove five horses to victory on the 10-race afternoon card.
Adams, who grew up in Haverhill, Mass., right over the border from the Salem oval, and graduated from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell nearby, scored in the second race with Double Duty ($5.80), the third with Matt’s Millenium ($8.60), the seventh with The Awful Truth ($4.00), the ninth with Life’s Z Tam ($18.80), and the 10th with Camsurge ($5.20).
Adams, the defending champion trainer at Rockingham who now is back atop the leaderboard, is a double threat as both a driver and trainer. Of the five winners he drove on Saturday, he also trained every one but The Awful Truth.
Live racing resumes on Sunday, June 22, with a 10-race card and post time of 1:05 p.m. Full card Thoroughbred, harness, and greyhound simulcasting plus charitable poker and bingo is offered seven days and nights per week.
