Bulldog Hanover to breed and race in 2022

Lucan, ON — Seelster Farms welcomes Bulldog Hanover to its stallion lineup while he continues to race in 2022.

Owner-trainer Jack Darling, along with owner Brad Grant, offer breeders a rare opportunity to get in on the first crop of Bulldog Hanover while he continues to add to his already impressive racing resume.

“Bulldog loves to race and I am sure he will love the breeding shed as well, so it should be a great fit,” says Darling. “This horse has all the attributes that we look for in a racehorse — high speed, outstanding endurance, toughness, and conformation. The way he could overcome tough trips was exciting to watch. Bulldog is an outstanding physical specimen and has one of the best pedigrees in the business.”

His dominant win in the OSS Super Final at 2 in 1:50.2s was the icing on the cake for a 4-1-0 record in six freshman starts. At 3, the Shadow Play–BJ’s Squall (by Artsplace) son was ultra consistent, winning a North America Cup elimination, the Somebeachsomewhere, three Ontario Sire Stakes Gold legs, the Circle City Stake, the Monument Circle, and the Star Destroyer, taking a 3-year-old mark of 1:48s this year, while closing in on a million dollars in earnings.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing what else he can do in 2022 on the racetrack and what he can do as a sire. He’s a very special horse and I truly believe he can make a big impact on the Ontario breeding scene,” added Darling.
