Buy-ins welcome for Saturday’s World Harness Handicapping Championship

East Rutherford, NJ — This Saturday (April 13), the top horseplayers in North America will compete for $125,000 in prize money (based on 125 entries) in the 2019 World Harness Handicapping Championship presented by DerbyWars.com.

The WHHC is a one-day tournament with a welcome reception the evening prior.

The $125,000 prize pool is based on an estimated 125 entries with a $50,000 first place prize. Currently, the Championship’s Grand Prize is guaranteed at $40,000 regardless of the number of entries.

The WHHC contest format requires players to bet 10 races: their choice of eight Meadowlands races and two designated mandatory races. Players keep all pari-mutuel winnings. Prize payouts are to the top 10.

Derby Wars will host a Last Chance Qualifier this Thursday (April 11). Details are available at this link.

Players that did not earn a seat through a qualifying event can directly buy-in for $1,300. The $1,300 entry fee includes a $300 bankroll, with the remaining $1,000 going to the prize pool.

Walk-up registrations will be accepted for the WHHC final presented by DerbyWars.com until 7 p.m. on Saturday (April 13). The WHHC final brochure is available at this link.
