Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame to host caring for horses in winter, making model horse blankets & cutting horse-styled paper snowflakes

Goshen, NY — The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, located at 240 Main Street, Goshen, N.Y., will have a presentation and activities related to understanding the effects of winter weather on horses on Saturday (Jan. 26) from 1-3 p.m.  Attendees can participate in experiments to better understand the stress that cold and wet weather may impose on a horse.

To add to the fun, attendees can bring a favorite model horse and design a felt blanket of their own design, cut horse-styled paper snowflakes and take a ride on the 3-D simulator.  The cost is $5 for this event and free to current Pony Club, Scouts and 4H members.  Reservations must be made by Jan. 24.
