Charles Wyers, 70, dies

Columbus, OH — Charles Wyers, 70, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and formerly of Ravenna, died April 4, 2021, surrounded by family.

Mr. Wyers had a love for horses that started as a teen while working at Silver Spur in Charlestown, Ohio, and ended as a driver and trainer at Northfield Park.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Thompson); daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Ward; granddaughters, Angel (Paul) Kerns and Sara (fiance Frank Ferro); great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; brothers, David (Bonnie) and Randy (Cris); sisters, Debbie (Chuck) Marshall, Peggy Woodring and Kathy (Ray) Coss; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Delores; and brothers, Carl and John Lewis.

Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. Thursday (April 8) at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Tr., Cuyahoga Falls, where services will follow at 7 p.m., Pastor Jim Case officiating.
