Cleangame cleaned again

Vincennes, FR —  The 7-year-old gelding Cleangame, trained by Jean Michel Bazire and with up and coming champion-driver Eric Raffin in the bike, was an easy winner of the final in the Grand National du Trot series Sunday afternoon (Dec. 1) at Vincennes.

Cleangame won the 1-3/4 mile event very easy in a new race- and track record of 1:55 (mile rate). The purse for the winner was $65,000 dollars.

This was win number 12 in 2019 for Cleangame.

Cleangame might be the world’s best trotter at present, but unfortunately, he is gelded and thus not eligible to race in many big races in France.

Next Sunday the second qualifying race for the Prix d’Amerique, called the Prix du Bourbonnais, is raced at Vincennes and will have Bold Eagle in the field, but geldings are not allowed in that race.
