Condren, MacDonell discuss Monday starters at Woodbine

Toronto, ON — Woodbine Racetrack presents another 11-race program Monday night (April 19) with the C$60,000 Celias Counsel Trotting Series final and the C$42,000 Open Trot slated as co-features.

Bramalea Hanover is the even money favorite in the Celias Counsel final, having dominated in both preliminary legs of the series. She starts from post four Monday night and driver Steve Condren is supremely confident in the daughter of Windsong’s Legacy.

The Open Trot will be one of the final preps for Define The World who is scheduled to compete in the Oslo Grand Prix in Norway on May 16 before making his way to the prestigious Elitlopp in Sweden two weeks later.

Paul MacDonell will be making the trip to Europe to drive the 5-year-old Duke Of York gelding and is looking forward to the adventure.

Both Condren and MacDonell spoke to the WEG media department about their charges and the videos are available in the video section of the new WEG website. They can be viewed by clicking here.

Fans are also reminded that the first five races will be broadcast live on The Score from 7-9 p.m. and Monday night will mark the second week of the C$40,000 guarantee on the early Pick-4 wager. First post is at 7:30 p.m.
