Davidson du Pont is ready for the Prix d’Amerique

Davidson du Pont, who was second in the Prix d’Amerique last year, is ready to take on the heavy favorite, Face Time Bourbon in the Prix d’Amerique in a fortnight.

In the Prix de Belgique, raced over 1/3-4 mile at Vincennes, Davidson du Pont finished strongly to win by a length beating Delia du Pommereux with Eric Raffin in second. Moni Viking with Pierre Vercruysse was third.

Davidson du Pont was timed in 1.55.4 (mile rate) and picked up the winner’s purse of $60,000.

After the four B-races (Prix de Bretagne, Bourgogne, Bourbonnais and Belgique) and the Critrium Continental and Prix Temor de Baune the following 11 trotters are qualified to race in the Prix d’Amerique:
