Dayton, OH –  To kick off its final month of racing for the 2020 season, Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway will introduce a new wager with a fan friendly takeout and high payout potential.

Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1, the Dayton Jackpot Pick-5 with a low 12 percent takeout will be offered on the final five races of each program (normally races 10-14).  Base price for the Jackpot Pick-5 will be 20 cents and if there are no unique ticket winners a consolation payout of 50 percent of the daily wagering pool will be made to those with the most winners. The remaining 50 percent of the daily pool will be carried over to the Jackpot payout pool.

To kick start the new wager, the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association and USTA Strategic Wagering Platform will offer a guaranteed $5,000 minimum payout for a unique winning ticket.  Free program pages for the Jackpot Pick-5 races will be available via a link on the USTA’s website.

Post time for the Dec. 1 race card is  1:30 p.m. (Eastern) with the 10th race approximate post time of 4:30 p.m.    A mandatory payout of the Jackpot Pick-5 will be required if there is a carryover pool as of Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway’s Dec. 30 closing date for its 2020 race season.
