Deny Deny Deny won the first division of NYSS in 1:58.2 over a good track.

The first division, worth $61,996, was won by Deny Deny Deny (Art Major-Fool For You) in 1:58.2 over a good track for owner Ken Jacobs of Baldwinsville, NY.

It was the first lifetime win for this Linda Toscano trained colt, who was driven for the first time by Buffalo Raceway’s leading driver Shawn Gray. Deny Deny Deny ($6.30) went wire to wire from post five in the field of seven.

“This is a really nice colt”, said Gray. “I think he’s the best 2-year-old I’ve ever driven”.

Finishing second was Tijuana Party (Jim Morrill, Jr.), while Tommy Green (Stephane Bouchard) came in third.

In the second division ($60,896) Thirty Two Red won for the third time this year, and remained undefeated, with trainer-driver Ray Schnittker at the controls.

Thirty Two Red ($2.90) cut splits of :28.3, :59, and 1:28.3 en route to a 1:57.1 mile. A son of Bettor’s Delight out of the Artsplace mare Sakura Hanover, Thirty Two Red beat second place finisher Bet The Moon (Jason Bartlett) by 1-3/4 lengths at the finish line. Swift As A Shadow (Jim Morrill, Jr.) came in the show spot.
