Drinkin Again seeks fourth consecutive win at Freehold Saturday

Freehold, NJ — Lately, it’s been all champagne for Drinkin Again. He’s won three races in a row at Freehold Raceway, including the Preferred Handicap Pace last Saturday (Nov. 13).

This Saturday (Nov. 20), he’ll seek his fourth consecutive win in this week’s Preferred Handicap. He’s been assigned post position eight, and installed as the 5-2 morning line favorite. Austin Siegelman has the drive for owner/trainer Phil Jasper.

Drinkin Again has enjoyed great success at Freehold this year. He’s won there seven times in 2021, four times during the summer/fall meet, and nine times over the past 12 months. His season’s best mark of 1:53.3 was earned at Freehold on March 20. Last week, he won the Preferred Handicap by four lengths in 1:55.4 over a sloppy track.

Drinkin Again’s stiffest competition will leave one spot to his inside. Major Crocker A races first off the claim for owner/trainer Tahnee Camilleri, and is the 3-1 second choice on the morning line. He’s been on a hot streak at Yonkers Raceway, hitting the board six consecutive times at the mid-range claiming level with three victories. This will be his first start since Oct. 18. Luke Hanners will be in the bike.

Three weeks ago (Oct. 30), On Accident won the Preferred Handicap in a three-horse photo finish. In his most recent start two Saturdays ago (Nov. 6), he closed for third after racing wide most of the way. He’ll seek his fourth win of the summer/fall meet at Freehold from post position six. Vinny Ginsburg will drive for trainer Tim Lancaster, who co-owns with Tony Casha.

Just Plain Loco, Big Stretch Mark, Warrawee Total, Campora N, and On The Virg round out the field. The race is scheduled as the ninth race on the card, with a listed post time of 3:10 p.m.
