The 6-year-old gelding is owned by Jack Killeen, who is already here at the Meadows fulfilling his lifelong dream to be a driver and trainer in the United States.

Duc De Guise is set to arrive in the United States by the end of February. Killeen hopes to race him in the conditions at The Meadows and that he is as successful here as he was in Ireland.

“I really like him, he’s a big strong horse that I think is well suited for The Meadows,” said Killeen.

“We look forward to his arrival and are excited to watch him race here at The Meadows,” said Dawnelle Mock, marketing director of the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association.
