Q’s Cruise wins feature, Duplicated N triumphs in Dover co-feature

Dover, DE — Q’s Cruise defeated Slick Tony in the Blue Hen Open Handicap feature on Thursday evening (Dec. 5) at Dover Downs.

In a thrilling stretch duel, Q’s Cruise (Tim Tetrick), outsprinted Slick Tony after a getting a pocket journey.  He won by a neck in 1:51.

Dexter Dunn changed tactics with Slick Tony, blasting out of the gate and after being parked to the first quarter set fractions of :26.4, :55.2, 1:23.  Blazing Bobby Sox (Art Stafford Jr.) challenged first up, but couldn’t get to the leader down the stretch.

The 4/5 favorite Q’s Cruise is trained by Jim King Jr.

Duplicated N and driver Tim Tetrick braved the cold and wind to win the $25,000 Open Pace on Thursday.

Duplicated N left alertly and was extended to a :26.3 quarter as Sicily released him and accepted the two-hole. Larry Karr pulled first-up into the wind but could not gain on 3-5 favorite Duplicated N, who went on to cut middle fractions of :54.4 and 1:22.2 en route to a 1:50.4 victory, three-quarters of a length better than Sicily. Bo Mach finished third.
