Eldorado Scioto Downs to race Sunday

Columbus, OH — Eldorado Scioto Downs has switched up the live racing dates for this weekend. Scioto will now be racing on Sunday (June 7) at 6:30 p.m. instead of the usual Saturday evening spot.

“We looked at the other racetracks starting to open and Saturday was getting full in the simulcasting world,” explained Joe Morris, Senior Vice President of Racing for Eldorado Resorts. “We decided to try the Sunday evening slot to see what response we got from the wagering public.”

The box will close Wednesday (June 3) at 3 p.m. for the Sunday evening card. Horsemen can find the condition sheet at horsemen.ustrotting.com.

Racing this week starts Tuesday (June 2) at 2 p.m. There are 15 races on the card and the Pick-5, with a low 14 percent takeout, has a guarantee of $15,000. That sequence starts in race five, with a scheduled post time of 3:20 p.m.

That wager will also carry a guarantee of $10,000 for the Wednesday (June 3) and Thursday (June 4) cards, which have a first post of 6:30 p.m. Free programs for the wagers are available at handicapping.ustrotting.com through the USTA’s Strategic Wagering Program.

Full race card programs are available on the Scioto Downs website.
