Eligibility information on Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Finals

Harrisburg, PA – Horsemen connected with quality Pennsylvania-sired 2- and 3-year-olds should note that their horses who are eligible (were paid in) for the Pennsylvania program can be dropped in the entry box for the upcoming Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Championships and their parallel consolation events without having started in the program this season.

Eligibility for the Championships and consolations are determined by points earned during four preliminary legs of competition throughout the late spring and summer. The horses who did not race with zero points earned could still be eligible if the minimum amount of point-earning horses in any championship or consolation division is not reached. In any of those divisions, those non-starters could enter and draw in.

The Sire Stakes Championships and consolations for 3-year-olds will be held at The Meadows on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 7); the events for 2-year-olds will be held at Harrah’s Philadelphia the following afternoon, Sunday (Sept. 8).

To ascertain draw schedules or learn other information, horsemen should contact the Racing Office at the track of their interest.
