Equinox Bi to stand at Blue Chip Farms

from Blue Chip Farms

Wallkill, NY — The 2007 Breeders Crown Open Trot winner, Equinox Bi, will stand at Blue Chip Farms in Wallkill, N.Y., in 2008.

Sporting over $1.3 million in earnings between the United States and Europe, he brings Valley Victory line blood and International flair to New York. In addition to this year’s Breeders Crown win in 1:52, Equinox Bi’s accomplishments for 2007 include wins in the Maple Leaf Trot, Unire and Dormello stakes in Italy, and a close second in the Nat Ray after being parked the entire mile.

In the money in 24 out of 27 starts, he has 12 career wins including the $350,000-plus Nazionale in Milan at 3 and the Italian Breeders Crown at 2.

Equinox Bi comes from a royal background. His sire is Valley Boss Bi 3,1:56.3, a full brother to Valley Victory, who was exported to Italy at 3 and who has sired numerous stakes winners in Italy. His dam is the 1996 Breeders Crown winner, Personal Banner 3,1:54.1q ($300,535). From the family of Delmonica Hanover, Personal Banner has only two foals of racing age, and both are winners of over $200,000.

The stud fee for Equinox Bi will be $6,000. His offspring will be eligible to the rich New York Sire Stakes program.
