Columbus, OH — Ewell Elton Binkley, 83, of Henning, Tenn., died May 20, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Thursday (May 23) at Garner Funeral Home in Ripley with graveside services to follow at 2 p.m. in Poplar Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Binkley was a trainer and driver of Standardbreds. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and the United States Trotting Association, and an Army National Guard veteran.

The husband of Barbara Binkley, he is survived by a daughter, Tessa Skaggs; sons, Barry (Evelyn), Robbie (Cindy), Rodney Skaggs and Eddie Beck; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.O. and Ida; son, Tony Anthony; sisters, Laura Cross and Wilma Kellick; and brothers, Robert, Bill and Jessie.
