Wilkes-Barre, PA — After a discussion with the Pennsylvania Harness Horsemen’s Association, it has been decided to extend the nomination due date for two of the six Game of Claims Late Closing events.
They are Event number five for mare pacers claiming $10,000 progressing to $15,000 and Event number six for trotters claiming $15,000 progressing to $20,000. Both events will be contested in March with the new nomination due date, February 18.
For the first month of racing, the 45-day rule has been extended to a 60-day rule. Horses entered in events one through four in the Game of Claims Late Closing Series will also benefit from this extension. They will be allowed to start with a clean, charted line in the previous 60 days. It will revert back to 45 days with the draw for March 1.
Complete racing conditions and payment information for all these racing events can be found on The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono Horsemen page.
