Face Time Bourbon back with a bang

Four-year old trotter Face Time Bourbon, who could be the next French superstar, returned to action at Vincennes Saturday afternoon (Aug. 31) after more than two months absent; and he did it with a bang.

In the classic Prix Jules Thibault for 4-year old male trotters over 1-11/16 miles, Face Time Bourbon with Björn Goop was in command the whole trip and won in a new world record of 1.54.2.

Face Time Bourbon, who is bred in the same way as Bold Eagle – Ready Cash – a Love You-mare – is trained by Sebastian Guarato.

Face Time Bourbon will now be aimed for the UET Grand Prix for 4-year-olds to be raced in Finland in October.

The main event at Vincennes, the Criterium des 5 Ans, was won by the outsider Eugenito du Noyer with Eric Raffin in the bike.

The winning colors of Ecurie Ostheimer is well known, as they were carried by legendary French trotter Ourasi back in the 1980s when he won the Criterium des 5 Ans in 1985.
