Face Time Bourbon captures third consecutive Prix de Selection

Face Time Bourbon, with Eric Raffin driving, won the classic trotting race, the Prix de Selection, at Vincennes Saturday afternoon (March 6) in a new race record of 1.53.1 (mile rate).

This was the third year in a row Face Time Bourbon won the race, which is open for 4- 5-and 6-year old trotters and contested over 2,175 meters or close to 1-3/8 miles.

Just one trotter has earlier won the race three times, Jamin, who was the leading French trotter 60 years ago.

The Prix de Selection is a Group I race and had a total purse of $107,000 for the winner.

This was the first race for Face Time Bourbon after Björn Goop was removed as his driver.
