The Criterium des 3 Ans — the richest race for 3-year-old French trotters — was an easy task for the favorite, Face Time Bourbon, with Björn Goop in the bike.

Face Time Bourbon won the 1-11/16th mile event on Sunday (Dec. 16) in 1:59.4 (mile rate) by open lengths, followed by Favorite Fligny and Fanina des Racques.

Face Time Bourbon, who is sired by Ready Cash and out of a Love You mare (this is the new golden cross in France) is trained by Sebastian Guarato, who also is the trainer of Bold Eagle. Face Time Bourbon has now raced nine times and has eight wins and earnings of 327,150 Euro.

This was the third time an offspring to Ready Cash won the Criterium des 3 Ans; Bold Eagle and Charley de Noyer are the other two winners. Ready Cash himself won the race in 2008.
