Fillies in high demand in Sweden

Eight out of the 10 most expensive yearlings at the Aby Yearling & Mixed Sale, held Friday night (Oct. 8) at the Aby racetrack in Sweden, were fillies.

Obey’em, sired by Propulsion and out of Beauty America (she by Pine Chip) was the sales topper, sold for $126,000.

Obey’em is foal number 11 for Beauty America, who earlier has brought top trotters like Lily Kronos (by Varenne) 1:55.4f, 1.6 million SEK and Only Kronos (by Viking Kronos) 1:56.2f, 900,000 SEK. She is the dam of Vamp Kronos (by Ready Cash) 1:54.3f, 4.6 million SEK.

The second-highest price was $75,600 paid for Daim Brodda, sired by Readly Express and out of Dancing In Thehall (by Cantab Hall).

The most expensive colt was Kong Venience, sired by Face Time Bourbon and out of Valentina Wind (by Muscle Hill). He was sold for $67,000.

A total of 92 yearlings were sold for an average price of $21,605. All results can be found at www.yearlingsale.se.
