Final Breath repeats in Meadows $18,000 trot; Wilder wins four

Washington, PA – Final Breath notched his second straight victory when he quarter-poled to the top and drew away late in Monday’s (Nov. 25) $18,000 Open 1 Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Once Final Breath wrested the early lead from Donatover, he had little trouble lengthening it for Tony Hall, downing Donatover by 2-1/2 lengths in 1:53.4. The first-over Meme Hanover earned show.

Mike Wilder piloted four winners on the 13-race program, sweeping the early and late Daily Doubles.

Live racing at The Meadows resumes Tuesday (Nov. 26), when the card features a $52,960.94 carryover in the final-race Super Hi-5. The program also offers a $5,000 total-pool guarantee for the Pick 4 (races 3-6) and a $1,096.46 carryover in the Pick 5 (races 2-6). First post for the 13-race card is 1:05 p.m.
