The sale, formerly called the January Select Mixed Sale, will be conducted as usual on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday (Jan. 20), in the Meadowlands race paddock.

The Tattersalls Sales Co.’s annual Winter Mixed Sale will be held on Monday (Jan. 20) at the Meadowlands. Sellers are reminded to have their entries in by Tuesday (Dec. 10). 

It will include broodmares, broodmare prospects, stallion shares, short yearlings, and the market segment that’s made the sale famous–racehorses of all ages.

The Tattersalls winter auction has rung up more than $17-million in total sales over the past three years and averaged at or close to $30,000 each year. Last year’s sale topper was the multiple stakes winning Chapter Seven mare Southwind Tesla, at $152,000.
