Five driving wins for Stratton at Monticello

Monticello, NY — Cory Stratton drove five winners on Tuesday’s (Nov. 17) 11-race card at Monticello Raceway.

Stratton started his five-win afternoon with a natural hat trick beginning in race three. He drove Notagain (2:01.2) to a 5-1/2-length win over Hoopla Hanover for trainer Paul Roy, and then teamed up with Todd Buter trainee Iwillmakeyousaywow (1:58.4)in the fourth before piloting his own trainee Swan In The Valley (2:01.3) to an easy five-length win in the fifth.

In the featured $7,200 Open Pace, Stratton drove Team Tritton Inc.’s Ohoka Johnny N to a 1:56 score, the fastest mile of the day and the New Zealand import’s eighth win of the year. Stratton concluded his five-win performance with Im A Director N (1:56.2), who went wire-to-wire to win the finale.

The 28-year-old Stratton is currently in eighth place in the Monticello driving standings. He also accounted for three training wins on the program.

Over $481,000 was wagered on the 11-race card.
