Follow the action in Sweden

How will Yannick Gingras fare in the World Driving Championship? Åke Svanstedt to drive in the Elitlopp, and will USA-bred Propulsion finally get his victory in the Elitlopp. You will be able to follow all the action in Sweden on the internet.

The prestigious Elitlopp meeting kicks off Friday (May 24) at 12:40 p.m. (local time) — 6:40 a.m. (EDT) and the first day is also the first leg in the World Driving Championship series. On Friday the 12 drivers will compete in three races at Solvalla and Saturday (May 25) they will drive in one race at Solvalla, driving cold blooded trotters.

Yannick Gingras has been able to pick up some drives outside the WDC series. On Monday (May 27) he will feel like home, as he will drive 10 races at the Lindesberg track.

Åke Svanstedt has picked up a drive in the Elitlopp behind Norwegian-owned and bred Looking Superb, who is trained in France by Jean Michel Bazire. Svanstedt will drive in a total of seven races Saturday and Sunday at Solvalla.

The Elitlopp looks like a match between Propulsion with Ôrjan Kihlström and Readly Express with Björn Goop. This is the fourth time Propulsion will race in the Elitlopp. In 2016 he finished fourth and in 2017 and 2018 he was second. So will Propulsion finally get this prestigious race under his belt?

It will probably be his last start in the Elitlopp as it is for Readly Express, who will race for the last time ever Sunday afternoon and go to stud Monday at the Memhammar Stud in Sweden.

Official race programs can be downloaded free of charge from Solvalla’s homepage and at this link, you can watch all the action at Solvalla live.
