Foster and Wagner take top honors at Rosecroft

Ft. Washington, MD — The curtain dropped on the Rosecroft Winter-Spring meet Wednesday (May 26), with the driving dash championship not decided until late in the evening on the 13-race card.

Racing on the 72nd anniversary of the track opening which occurred May 26, 1949, rain and thunderstorms tried to dampen the spirits, but after a slight delay, the card finished strong and Russell Foster held off Jonathan Roberts for the meet title.

Foster won 63 of 311 drives, while Roberts took 61 of his 315 assignments. Jason Thompson, Jared Moyer and John Wagner rounded out the top five.

Wagner won the training title with Megan Roberts, Ken Schlotzhauer, Jason Walters and Shaun Callahan rounding out the top five.

Precision Blue Chip was named Pacer of the Meet and Judge Bob was the Trotter of the Meet.

The Wednesday card was highlighted by Eddie Davis Jr. picking up four wins on the night. Moyer and Foster won twice while Schlotzhauer sent out three winners.
