Funeral information announced for Dr. John Hurtgen

Columbus, OH — A viewing and calling hours for renowned breeder and embryo transfer expert Dr. John P. Hurtgen will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at JJ Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 Second St., New Freedom, PA.
The funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom.
Dr. Hurtgen, operator of Nandi Farms, died of an apparent heart attack while helping to foal a mare on his farm.
