Power, with trainer Robert Bergh in the bike, got a tough trip but was still able to win comfortably in the 1-5/8 mile event in 1:57.3f (mile rate) followed by a fast-finishing Brother Bill with Jorma Kontio.

The purse for the winner was two million Swedish Kroner, but as Power was entered in a prize-system the purse was doubled to four million — or $410,000.

Googoo Gaagaa had three colts in the Kriterium and besides the winner, Bythebook finished fifth and Usain Töll was unplaced.

Googoo Gaagaa is very popular in Scandinavia and next year he will stand at the Broline Stud in Sweden. After it was announced that Googoo Gaagaa was going to stand at Broline, it only took a couple of days before his book was full.

In the Kriterium the heavy favorite Aetos Kornos, with Ôrjan Kihlström, before the gate left was off stride and out of the race.

The Oaks, which had a purse of 1.4 million SEK — or $145,000, was won by the favorite, Diana Zet, driven by Ôrjan Kihlström.

Diana Zet, who is sired by Hard Livin, was in command the whole trip and won very easily in 1:58.1f (mile rate). Diana Zet is trained by Daniel Redén and is bred and owned by The Zet Stable. As Diana Zet was also entered in the prize-system, the purse was doubled.
