Guaranteed $30,000 Hoosier High-5 on Wednesday

Anderson, IN — With a carryover in excess of $8,000, Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino has announced a $30,000 guaranteed Hoosier High-5 pool for Wednesday (April 17).

In partnership with the United States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering program and the Indiana Standardbred Association, Harrah’s Hoosier Park will offer this signature wager for the action packed 12-race card on Wednesday that is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday’s 12-race card saw a number of longshots finding the winner’s circle, including Cantdancewithoutgin and LeWayne Miller who found the wire first at odds of 99-1 in the last race of the program. The 3-year-old filly, trained by Larry King, staged a big rally late in the lane to get up in the final strides of the mile to record her first lifetime victory in 11 career starts.

The Pick-5 also went unsolved resulting in a $3,452.07 carryover for Wednesday.

The Hoosier High-5, also known as the pentafecta, is featured in the last race of every program at Harrah’s Hoosier Park and features a reduced takeout of 12 percent. The Hoosier High-5 is responsible for one of the biggest payouts to date last season with a $12,775.94 winning ticket paid out.

Free past performances for the Hoosier High-5 sequence will be available on the USTA website. Expert selections and handicapping tools are also available on the handicapping section of Hoosier Park’s website.

Live racing at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino will follow a Tuesday through Saturday schedule and be conducted through Nov. 9. For more information on the upcoming entertainment and live racing schedule at Hoosier Park, please visit www.harrahshoosierpark.com.
