Guarantees, mandatory payouts highlight Pompano mid-week cards

Pompano Beach, FL — Guarantees, carryovers and mandatory payouts highlight the midweek action at Pompano Park on Tuesday and Wednesday night with the Pick-5, Pick-6 and Super Hi-5 action all in the mix.

With a pair of longshots spicing up the Monday Pick-5, there was nary a winning ticket to be cashed on that exotic wager and an $18,724 carryover has spawned a $100,000 guaranteed Pick-5 pool for the Tuesday card.

In the fourth race pentafecta on Monday, a 25-1 outsider skimmed the pylons to win, resulting in a $7,354 carryover for that offering on Tuesday.

Also on Monday, despite five favorites comprising the six-pack of events in the Pick-6, there were no winners in that exotic wager, resulting in a carryover of $1,801 going into the Tuesday program.

Finally, the Super Hi-5 jackpot has ballooned to $103,761 and if there is no single winner of that offering on Tuesday night, there will be a mandatory payout on Wednesday.

Of the mid-week action at Pompano Park, Director of Racing Gabe Prewitt said, “These two programs are great, competitive programs and we expect the ‘Send It In Army’ to be out in full force. It’s a dream scenario shaping up and everyone is invited to participate in the excitement and opportunity for a big payday.”

The Tuesday and Wednesday programs will also feature the popular Pick-4 wager with $15,000 guaranteed pools both nights featuring an industry low 12 percent takeout.

The Pick-5 begins with the first race, the Pick-6 starts with the third race, the Pick-4 starts in race six and the Super Hi-5 is on the final race of the night.

There are also two daily doubles on each card along with a late Pick-3.

Post time for each program is 7:20 p.m.
