Watseka, IL – On April 4, a small group of horsemen throughout Illinois gathered for the first meeting of an ad hoc think tank.

A wide range of issues were offered for discussion by those present.  The primary topics were: ways to educate and favorably influence the Illinois Legislature, the initiative to develop of an additional race track in Illinois, and how to provide assistance for the existing work of the Illinois Harness Horsemen’s Association.

The group selected Curt Homann to serve as temporary chairman and Kurt Becker as the vice chairman.

The intention of the group is to hold additional meetings and expand the number of people involved.

The next meeting is schedule for to take place on Tuesday, May 25.
