Introduction to the Horse & Human Neurological Systems at Museum

Goshen, NY — Bring the kids to the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, located at 240 Main St., Goshen, N.Y., on Sunday (Feb. 17) from 1–3 p.m. for an introduction to the Horse & Human Neurological Systems.

Did you ever wonder how a horse can feel a teensy weenie fly on its leg? We have the answer. Participants will learn through fun while decorating brain hats designating the function of different areas of the human brain, then they will compare the human brain to the design of the horse brain. The entire horse neurological system design will be demonstrated with a 3-D computer program.

Next, decoupage a horsey trinket can, play games and ride the 3-D Simulator.

The cost for each child is $5 and free to parents, Scouts, 4-H and Pony Club members. Call to register by Feb. 15. Space is limited.

Programs are made possible by the New York State Agriculture & Horse Development Fund.
