Dover, DE — Joey Bats outlasted the Open trotters at Dover Downs on Tuesday night (Dec. 3).

Joey Bats circled the field at the quarter pole and did not look back as he won in near wire-to-wire fashion. The outside post did not deter Joey Bats and driver Anthony Morgan, as they cut fractions of :27.1, :56, 1:24.1 and 1:53.1.

Royal Becca J and driver Jack Parker Jr. finished a fast-closing second. Lagerfeld and driver Corey Callahan finished third.

Home’n Dry, an upset winner last week, went off stride nearing the half.

World champion Wiggle It Jiggleit is scheduled to qualify Wednesday morning (Dec. 4) at Dover Downs.
