Kiara Morgan wins Glada Trot with Dontforgetmaster at Scioto

Columbus, OH – On Friday (June 18) many of the Midwest’s outstanding amateur drivers convened at Scioto Downs for another $7,500 leg of the Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association’s year-long series and when the judges posted the official order of finish Kiara Morgan and Dontforgetmaster came away with a 1:54.3 triumph over eight rivals.

When the starting judge said “go” Riverdancing Diva (Vernon Beachy) and Dontforgetmaster (Kiara Morgan) vaulted for the lead with the latter taking command after the first panel was trotted in :27.2.

Once on top Morgan kept the pedal to the metal and led Eddie Miller, and the race favorite Bold Strategy, by the half in :56.1. When they passed the three quarters in 1:24.1 the order remained the same. But when the field rounded the final turn and headed for home Bold Strategy was gaining ground on Dontforgetmaster but he ran out of racetrack and had to settle for second money. Third place went to Outburst, driven by Alicia Binkley.

For Morgan it was the talented lady driver’s first seasonal triumph and the 21st of her fledgling career.

Dontforgetmaster, a 6-year-old son of Dontyouforgetit, is owned by Burlin Brower and Harvey Eisman and trained by Debra Garland. He paid $30.60 for win.
