Larry Ferrari wins GLADA Trot at Northfield

Northfield, OH — Larry Ferrari took no prisoners and sent Go Go George down the road and they made every pole a winning one en route to a 1:56.4 triumph in the Great Lakes Amateur Drivers Association trot Saturday night (May 15) at Northfield Park.

It marked the second consecutive time that Ferrari and Go Go George were victorious in the series.

Sent off as the second favorite in the eight-horse field, Go Go George paid $7.20 for win.

After starting from the two-hole, Ferrari kept Rockefeller Lindy and driver Manny Miller on the limb which forced the favorite, Quadrangle (Vernon Beachy), to go three-deep as the field headed for the three-quarters.

After Quadrangle looped Rockefeller Lindy, Go Go George opened up 2-1/2 lengths on the field and he needed every inch as his strides began to shorten when he neared the finish line. At the wire Go Go George was a neck winner over Quadrangle. Third place went to Crime Fighter in rein to Eddie Miller.

Go Go George, a 7-year-old altered son of Neely Dunn, is owned by Kiesha Ferrari and is trained by his driver.
