Lorentzon wins two Buckeye Stallion Series races at Delaware County Fairgrounds

Grove City, OH — A pair of trainer Anette Lorentzon’s sophomore filly pacers picked up victories in the Buckeye Stallion Series at the Delaware County Fairgrounds on Wednesday (Sept. 22).

Lorentzon picked up her first win of the day as Aaron Merriman drove Reachthruthesky AS (McArdle) gate-to-wire in 1:58.2 to win for the fourth time this year.

Dexter Dunn and Heavenissofarway gave Lorentzon her second BSS win of the day in 1:58.1. The daughter of Racing Hill rallied down the stretch to win by a neck. It was her second win of the year.

The third division of the 3-year-old filly pacers went to Racing Glory (Racing Hill) in 1:58. Tim Tetrick guided the Mike Sweeney trainee to her third win of the year in 10 starts.

The 2-year-old colt trotters excited the crowd with a dead heat in the second division. Outreach with Andrew McCarthy rallied to catch Baker Time and Dan Noble at the wire in 2:02.2. After a look at the photo, a dead heat was declared. It was the fifth win of the year for both Outreach, trained by Logan Powell, and Baker Time, trained by Deborah Swartz.

All Gas No Brakes won in the BSS for the third time as Trevor Smith and the Uncle Peter gelding took control at the top of the stretch on the way to the trotter’s seventh win of the year in 2:02.2. All Gas No Brakes is trained by Todd Luther.

Admire and Rose Run Xtatic were winners in the Buckeye Stallion Series for the first time this year.

Admire and Dan Noble tripped the wire in 2:01 for trainer Bob Stewart, while Kayne Kauffman drove Rose Run Xtatic to the win for trainer Mike Polhamus in 2:06.
