Roses Are Red winner Lyons Sentinel (James MacDonald) took care of business in the first elimination, coming first-up from third on the final turn and powering home in :26.2 for a 1-3/4 length score in 1:49. MacDonald substituted for regular driver Tim Tetrick and guided the Jim King Jr. trainee to her seventh win in 13 starts this season.

Warrawee Ubeaut (Yannick Gingras) cut the mile, posting fractions of :27.1, :54.4, and 1:22.1 before fading in the stretch. Peaky Sneaky (Dexter Dunn) sat second-over on the back of Lyons Sentinel to rally into a second-place finish, while Keep Rockin A (Andrew McCarthy) got through for third.

The final two qualifiers from the first elimination were Lit De Rose (Louis Roy) and Marloe Hanover (David Miller).

Lyons Sentinel is now five for six lifetime at Mohawk Park. The four-year-old daughter of Captaintreacherous increased her career numbers to 19 wins and over $1.8 million in earnings for owners Threelyonsracing.

A $2 win ticket on Lyons Sentinel returned $2.80.

Karma Seelster lit up the tote board with a 35-1 upset victory, unlike the first elimination.

Driven by Doug McNair, Karma Seelster got away sixth in the field of seven and would sit third-over as the field raced down to three-quarters. A wild finish played out in the lane with Rocknificent (David Miller) attempting to fight off various rivals, but it was Karma Seelster on the extreme outside muscling by all to win by a neck in 1:49.2.

The Gregg McNair trained four-year-old picked up her second win in 12 starts this season and ninth overall. The victory boosts her career earnings $651,596 for owners Eileen Waples, Karen Hauver and Shady Hill Racing Stable.

Rocknificent, who made a big second-quarter move to the top from fourth, posted snappy fractions of :54.3 and 1:22.1. The race-favorite battled tough to hold second, while So Much More got a second-over tow and finished third.
