Washington, PA — McDazzle repelled the challenge of newcomer Touchamatic and went on to a facile victory in Tuesday’s (Oct. 23) $18,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

McDazzle was one of six winners for trainer Ron Burke on Tuesday’s card at The Meadows.

Dave Palone gave McDazzle a comfortable :57.1 first half, which aggravated the difficulty for the first-over Touchamatic, who had turned in some big recent miles at Yonkers. A fresh McDazzle put her away in the final turn and drew off to down the pocket-sitting Shesasmokinlady by two lengths in 1:52.4. Real Fine finished a ground-saving third.

Ron Burke trains McDazzle, a 4-year-old daughter of Art Official and Dream McQueen who extended her career bankroll to $146,806, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Three horsemen rolled up big numbers on the 13-race card, including Burke with six wins, Palone with five and Mike Wilder with four.
