Mill Creek Farm donates to Purple Haze SAP

Saratoga, NY — Mill Creek Farm of Saratoga is happy to announce that we will be donating a 2022 season to our new stallion Coraggioso, the 2012 NYSS champion, to the Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program. The announcement  was made by owner Anne Morgan.

In addition, we will be donating five percent of all paid stud fees for Coraggioso to the Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program.

Executive Director Betty Holt stated: “We are thrilled that New York breeders recognize the need to retrain and rehome their Standardbreds when they are done racing. Anne and her beautiful Mill Creek Farm have committed to that endeavor and we hope other breeders make that same commitment in the future. By retiring and retraining we protect our much loved racehorses and transition them into new careers and loving homes.”

“The Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program appreciates every donation we receive, but this ongoing open-ended gift is very generous and provides continuous income for our horse’s futures and I can’t express how much this means to me and to the program. I truly appreciate this wonderful act of compassion. Thank you,” said the program’s founder Wanda Polisseni.
