Miller wins for second consecutive week in GSY Series

East Rutherford, NJ — A full field of ten pacers went to post for the third race on the Saturday night (Oct. 26) betting card at The Meadowlands in the first leg of the GSY Fall Series.

There was plenty of action from the start with horses vying for the lead and a few left hung on the outside for a majority of the race. Tyler Miller, for the second consecutive week, made a bold brush after the quarter pole to the front and never looked back from there.

The other Miller (Hannah’s cousin) is making the winner’s circle routine as he dominated again Saturday night with a 5-1/4 length victory and stopped the timer in 1:52. It was the same driver/trainer combo from the previous week but with a different horse.

The betting favorite, Da Magician, with Mark Silva holding the lines, found clearance late to finish second and The Dark Shadow, with Roy Marohn in the bike, hung on for third.

Also, for the second consecutive week, there was a dead heat for fourth, with Boogie Roll (Joe Lee) and Jackamino (Matt Zuccarello) picking up minor checks.

The winner, a 5-year-old gelding by Mach Three is owned by Timothy Betts, Stephen Moss, Nicholas Catalano and Pedro Baez III and is trained by Juan Cano.

The second leg of the GSY Series will take place next weekend at the Meadowlands.
