Dover, DE – Moments Of Joy and driver Victor Kirby for trainer and owner Bryan Truitt, left alertly and took the lead from Delishka N. around the quarter pole in 27 seconds in Wednesday’s (Dec. 4) featured $25,000 Mares Open Pace Handicap at Dover Downs Wednesday.

Moments Of Joy cut fractions of :55.4, 1:23.4 before crossing the finish line in 1:51.4 holding off 3-5 favorite Wisdom Tree, who pulled first over but could not overtake the winner, who won by a neck and paid $12.80.

Wisdom Tree and driver Tim Tetrick for trainer Jeff Cullipher were second with Rockin the Boys A finishing third for driver Tony Morgan and trainer Andrew Harris.

Driver Russell Foster made four trips to the winner’s circle during the 14-race card.
