The Aby Stora Pris, raced at the Aby track in Gothenburg, Sweden, will have a total purse of 1 million Euro — or $1.2 million — in 2024.

It will be an invitational race over the 1-5/16th mile distance for open trotters, to be raced in early September, and hopefully the race will have North American trotters in the field.

The million-dollar race will only be held every fourth year — just like the Olympic Games — and in between the race still will be held, but with a much lesser purse.

This year’s Aby Stora Pris will be raced on Aug. 14 over approximately 2 miles and with a total purse of 385,000 Euro — or $470,000.
