Laura, OH — The ninth annual stallion auction to benefit New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program is now in progress at www.ongait.com.

The Hostage, pictured with adopter Deputy Sarah McCullough, is one of 331 retired racehorses placed by New Vocations in 2006.

Breedings to 82 stallions from 11 states and Canada are offered. These include seasons to the hot sires Conway Hall and Dragon Again, as well as many exciting first year stallions like Quik Pulse Mindale, Cash Hall, Metropolitan, Great George Two, In Conchnito, and Panspacificflight.

“We deeply appreciate the generous outpouring of support from breeders across the country,” said Executive Director Dot Morgan. “New Vocations placed 331 retired racehorses into carefully screened and monitored homes in 2006. We could never run a program of this magnitude without a lot of help.”

Bids may be placed online at www.ongait.com beginning today, February 1, through the conclusion of the auction at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13.

Bids will also be taken at the New Vocations booth during the Blooded Horse Sale and may be called into the New Vocations office through Saturday, February 12 at (937) 947-4020.
