Dresden, ON — Dresden Raceway will not have qualifiers this week and the main track will be closed from Thursday morning (July 25) until Sunday (July 28) due to the Dresden Exhibition.

“There will be lots of activity around the track this week, so we are closing the main track for the safety of the horses and the people around the fair grounds,” said track publicist Gary Patterson, adding, “The back track will be open for jogging and training.”

“We will also be cancelling qualifiers this week because of the fair,” added Patterson.

Live racing will go as scheduled Sunday afternoon with a 1:30 p.m. post time. This week Bill Core and Must Be Matt will be honored on Horsemen’s Memorial Day.

The midway, food trucks and carnival atmosphere will be prevalent through the day.
