Grove City, OH – The Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Accountant for the Association.

The duties of this full-time position will include responsibility for the association’s financial transactions and creating financial reports from that information. The accountant also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. Is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, budgets, forecasting, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

Candidates must have a four-year degree in Accounting, Finance or in related field, or equivalent work experience. Candidates with an MBA in Finance or Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations preferred. Five plus years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or non-profit corporation. Candidates must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience working with a Board and executive team. Gaming, Racino, or Racing experience is also preferred.
